PROGRAMS & EVENTS

The Society holds a number of meetings, events and programs throughout the year for you to attend and enjoy.

General membership meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday in the months of January, March, May, and November. An informative program is given on the history of Tewksbury or the surrounding area.

A flea market is held on the Saturday preceding Labor Day.

The Tewksbury Garden Tour, an idea conceived by lifelong Township resident Miller Craig, is the 2nd Saturday in June of every even year. Beginning in 2006 this event will alternate with the Barn Tour. Ticket holders can visit four gardens around the Township plus a fifth location with refreshments.

Every odd year in July, the Society, along with the Tewksbury Trail Association, sponsors a Tewksbury barn tour. Barns include new and old, working and dormant, and those still maintaining livestock. The next Barn Tour will occur in July 2009.

The Tewksbury Art Show, held annually in October, is our largest fundraiser. It brings many members and volunteers together to register over 140 artists from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut who enter over 325 pieces of art, all of which is for sale.

The Tewksbury Antique Show, will be in it's 5th year in 2008, is always the 1st weekend in December at the Old Turnpike School on Old Turnpike Road (County Route 517) in the Fairmount section of Tewksbury.  Dealers come from the tri-state area.  The Show is managed by Bob Lutz and Ellen Katona.  All dealers spaces are sold out months in advance.
